Why the wisdom of older people matters?

I will make you understand this through this excerpt - "The thought of the youth is that bright light that shines like meteors that oft make brilliant the sky, but the wisdom of age is like the fixed stars that shine so unchanged that the sailor may depend upon them to steer his course.

"The youth is born in the information age everything is available at the tips of our fingers. Hence, we may sometimes outshine the elder people in terms of tech and other 21st-century stuff. But when we are in trouble then the wisdom of their age that is eternal helps us to find our way. We as youth must respect their beliefs and knowledge which is unchanged like the fixed stars.
